Little Legends is a family star chart for children aged 3 to 16. It is made and run by Stanley Apps Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17554469), registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. Stanley Apps Ltd is responsible for your information (the "data controller") and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. This page explains, in plain English, what information the app keeps, why, and how you can delete it.
Who sets up the app
Only a parent or carer aged 18 or over can create a family. Children never sign up by themselves: a grown-up adds each child and sets up their device. When creating a family, the grown-up confirms they are a parent or carer and agrees to this policy.
What we store
- Grown-ups: name and email address, used to log in.
- The family: family name, and town if you choose to add it.
- Each child: first name, birthday, chosen character and world, and a username and password or PIN that a grown-up creates for them. A photo only if a grown-up adds one.
- What you use the app for: stars, tasks, rewards, feelings check-ins, stories read, game scores and thank-you notes.
- Notifications: if you switch on notifications, a technical address for your device so we can send alerts such as "a child is waiting for you to check a task".
- Which days the app is used: once a day we note that your family used the app (just your family's number and the date, no names) so we can count how many people use Little Legends. These daily counts are deleted after 120 days.
We do not collect location, contacts, advertising IDs or browsing history, and we do not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
Why we store it
Only to make the app work for your family: showing each child their tasks and stars, letting grown-ups check and approve them, and keeping everything in step across your family's devices.
Who can see it
- Only the grown-ups in your family, and the devices they have set up.
- If you connect with another family, they see only your family name, your children's first names, emoji characters and star totals. Never photos, birthdays, feelings or messages.
- Other families can only find you if you switch on "Let other families find us", and a grown-up in your family must accept any request.
We never sell your information and never show adverts. Children never see links to other websites.
Where it's kept
Your family's information is stored with Google Firebase in its European data centre in Belgium, and is sent over encrypted connections. Notifications are sent through our own server on Cloudflare and contain no personal details beyond the alert itself.
Payments
Little Legends is free to use. If a grown-up buys Premium, the payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store card details. We keep only whether your family has Premium and when it renews.
Sign-up alerts
When a new family signs up, the app sends its maker a short alert that just says a new family has joined, with a running number. It contains no names, emails or other details. The app's maker can see a private list of family names and when they joined, to run and support the service.
Deleting your account and data
In the app:
- Open Little Legends and go to the Grown-ups section.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll down to Delete and tap Delete my account and family.
This removes your login, and if you are the only grown-up, the whole family: every child, star, task, photo and setting. It happens straight away and cannot be undone. You can also delete a single child or photo at any time.
Without the app: message us on WhatsApp (say you'd like your account deleted) or email [email protected] from the email address you signed up with, and we will delete your account and all of your family's data within 30 days.
If you have Premium, deleting your account does not cancel the payment by itself. Cancel it first from Grown-ups › Settings › Premium › Manage or cancel my subscription, or through the link in your Stripe receipt email.
Children's privacy
The app is designed for families and follows the UK Age Appropriate Design Code and Google Play's Families Policy: no adverts, no tracking, no chat with strangers, and grown-ups control everything their children can see and share.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your family's information at any time using the contact details below. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
